In celebration of the second anniversary of our Open Mic Reading & Live Music, I am excited to announce that Karima Hoisan, one of my favorite artists in Second Life will be featured at Four Bridges on Sunday, April 28 at noon slt. Karima is an exceptional person with a well of talents. She always lifts my spirit when I hear her read and share her art with an audience. If you've never experienced her poetry, I highly recommend you stop by early and be open to her offerings.
We'll kick off our open mic reading at 11a slt where everyone is invited to share and then Karima will take the stage.

I have a few things to announce for the summer at Four Bridges!

First, we’ve welcomed the Born This Way Foundation Second Life to the organizations housed on Four Bridges. orb Thursday is the contact for the group and they are headquartered on the South Sim on the East Side. You can join the group through my profile or orb’s and I hope that you will. Also, the Four Bridges Book Club is ready for launch with some really exciting updates! For those of you that I’ve spoken to about the club, we decided on “The Virtual Life of Fizzy Oceans” to launch our club.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10030092-the-virtual-life-of-fizzy-oceans I have spoken with the author, David Ross and he has agreed to come in and help us launch the book club! Wooot!!  I loved this book. I related to the premise, the ideals and the people. It was like coming home so I’m really excited to share this great opportunity with you! Another project that will be launched this month is the “What Can We do In A Year?” Project. This group will meet at various times and will be focused on changing something in our lives, our activism, our characters or whatever for one year. How much can we accomplish in one year if we’re dedicated, supported and working together? Let’s find out. This is a very informal group. We’re hard at work coming up with some education projects for the fall and have some opportunities that are really starting to kick up the duct! I’ll share more as I have the details but for now, I want to concentrate on making it a great summer at 4B. For those of you that haven’t explored for a while, we’ve made some MASSIVE changes. There is an orientation area, a street fair, tour horses and many other interactive exhibits. Artee has created an incredible exhibit. Links to all of the places can be found in the resource Center. I’m really excited about the changes on 4B. After a long and thoughtful hiatus, it feels good to feel focused again. I hope that you will all share your ideas and thoughts about our future.
