Mission Statement: Four Bridges is a virtual sustainable global community model founded on the four principles of respect for nature, universal human rights, economic and social justice, and a culture of peace.
The Four Bridges Project is a living, active, international community of individuals and organizations. As a community, we are committed to the four principles of human rights, social and economic justice, respect for nature, and a culture of peace. We share our resources: space, venues, media, technology, as well as knowledge and skills.
Educational institutions, non-profits, businesses and individuals are connected to each other. Whether in the physical world or through virtual spaces, by respecting the strengths of our component parts, we collaborate on mutual goals, and build the bridges that connect our diverse communities.
This resource sharing frees the members of our community to focus their energies on their core missions. We do not discriminate, and individuals or groups with different views are encouraged to participate respectfully. We welcome discussion especially when it is difficult. We offer mediation and conflict resolution, mentoring, guidance, and tools. Members are encouraged to explore connections and share possibilities on joint projects and events.
There is no separation between what we do in virtual worlds and what happens through our efforts in the physical world. Our organization is constantly seeking new ideas, new projects, and new organizations to add to the mix. The Four Bridges Project is a shining example of how we can use the virtual world to connect internationally and confront the most pressing issues.
